Introduction

Automatic Articles, Articles Display, Article Elements, Email, Content Submission, Articles Sharing

This extension enables you to send your articles to users of your website via e-mail automatically. When you create or save an article, e-mails will be sent automatically to users.

  • Favourite
  • Report

Also you can determine some filters to control sending the e-mails:

-filter for articles

-filter for categories

-filter for usergroups

-filter for users

-filter for sending intro text or full text of articles

Notice: I made this plugin to send articles to majority of users. So, with these filters you can only prevent some users, articles, usergroups and categories from sending (or receiving) the emails. If you want to send emails to all, without any restrictions, leave these fields empty.

imageintro and imagefulltext are added to new version.

UPDATE: Some users informed me that there are some problems in working the extension. I fixed these problems. Please download it again.

If you still have problems with this plugins, at first please check it's settings. Then check your e-mail settings options and try with other options.

Some of the problems are related to conflict with other plugins. If you change the order of the plugins on backend , these problems can be solved.

is there any way I can get the image_intro together with the introtext?

Ease of use

Good

Owner's reply: I added image_intro and image_fulltext to new version. I don't access to a live host, please test it.

Functionality

Now it works great! I was able to get this plugin working, by changing both instances of "getValue" to "get" on line 80 of autosender.php,

Ease of use

The problem was, that getValue is not supported in Joomla! 3.x. Aside from that, very simple plugin to use.

I used this to: What it was designed to do.

Got it man......

I installed this plug on 3 sites (joomla 2.5) but nothing happens.

sounded like what i was looking for. did the developer tested it?

Owner's reply: I'm Auto Sender developer and I tested it many times and It works correctly for me. If you have problem with this, maybe there are some conflict with other plugins or you don't set settings for it.

If you change the order of plugins, maybe your problem be solved.

This looks like exactly what I'm looking for, as a moderators of a community site, I have a reposibility to keep up with content as its published. This would do it if it worked.

Pros

Simple install and publish

Good filters for categories and user groups.

Cons

Can't get it to work ;-(

Filters for articles and users are id based, so very hard to manage on a large site.

I think that maybe somebody needs a module for showing number of daily articles, so I decide to make it. with this module you can show number of articles for today, yesterday, last week, last month and number of all articles (without time restriction). Also you can determine to count articles from some specific categories or it counts only published articles. If you like to add style to it,you can use 'jcounter' id to do this in css file of your template.

It is a simple plugin that provides this feature that you can add your joomla intenal links(links that refer to article or category or section)to your articles. It will be usefull when your articles have many links and you need to change all of them(specially when you switch to SEF mode.) How to use it: for adding internal links to your articles ,everywhere that you like to add links ,you should place :"{link} {/link}" between {link} and {/link} ,you can add article or category that you want to link to it. add "artid" for article id, "catid" for category id . for example : {link}artid=45{/link} It will add a link to an article with id =45 also if you don't like to show original title of links,you can add your alternative title to it with :"alttitle" for example: {link}catid=12 | alttitle= this is a category link{/link} It will add a link to a category with id=12 and with title : "this is a category" and ,if you like to add a link with the blink property, you can add : "blink=true " for example: {link}catid=12 | alttitle= this is a category link | blink=true{/link}

If you need a simple module to show state or level of your tasks, skills, workflows,...., "JProgress" is what you want! It is a simple module to show level of your tasks in progress bars. The progress bars are CSS based and have a good display but maybe have different displays on old browsers. On backend, you can enter the information that you like to show on frontend. You can separate each item with @#, for example: item1@#item2@#item3. (See documentation) The values field is for progress bar percentages. There are eight different colors and a nice animation for progress bars that you can control them on backend. For more details, please see documentation. It works on Joomla2.5 and Joomla 3.x.

It's a simple module that counts the number of K2 articles (items) and shows them in front-end. With this module you can show number of articles for today, yesterday, last week (last seven days), last month (last 30 days) and number of all articles (without time restriction). Also you can determine to count articles from some specific K2 categories or it counts only published K2 articles. If you like to add style to it,you can use 'k2counter' id to do this in CSS file of your template.
