Custom Tables is a powerful CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) data management extension for Joomla 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x that lets you build custom data-driven applications.

It allows you to create, manage, and display structured data that is not part of the standard Joomla content system. Typical use cases include product catalogs, business directories, customer records, and any other custom datasets.

You can define tables, fields, and layouts to build flexible catalogs, forms, and detail pages. The extension includes 40+ field types, such as Integer, Decimal, Text, Date/Time, Email, Color Picker, Image, File Upload, User, Language, and more.

Form inputs are automatically generated based on field types—for example, a Date field uses a calendar picker, Color uses a color selector, and Image fields include an upload interface.

Layouts are fully powered by the Twig template engine, giving you full control over front-end rendering and customization.

The built-in Layout Editor includes an Auto-Create feature that instantly generates a layout based on table fields and selected view type.

Custom Tables also supports integration with existing database tables (except core Joomla users), allowing you to extend and manage external data as native Joomla content.

Functionality
A suprprise in what is possible with this tool! Relational data management works really good. Very flexible, very powerful.
Ease of use
Best to ahve some experience in relational data management, in html and css coding, No beginner's tool, but very powerful.
Support
Best support by the developer I can imagine. Extremely friendly and helpful - thank you so much!
Documentation
There is an extended documentation site, however the tool is so powerful that not each "hidden corner" can be covered by the docs.
I used this to: Collecting and displaying of personal data in a closed group. Data should be visualized with according colors - can be done very nice! Extreme flexible search/sort funnctionality!

Functionality
Lots of items, pictures, files, maps... Building tables, joins, forms ...
Ease of use
Page layouts are very intuitive and there is an automatic page builder.
Support
Ivan is accessible and very helpful. There is a chat on the tool webpage.
Documentation
Could be a bit more detailed but the power of the tool means lot of time to document everything.
I used this to: I use it for the management of estate objects display pictures, maps and technical paticularities

Functionality
A full set of gui based table management tools. For beginners or old hands. Useful, simple and within Joomla.
Ease of use
Fairly simple, requires an understanding of what you want to achieve and what table fields you require.
Support
So far fast, and thorough. Ivan responds quickly and resolves issues.
Documentation
Up to date and comprehensive. Good details for what one needs to understand about the plugin's functions.
I used this to: Building additional tables I need without having to build then in sql.

Functionality
Super functional! I was able to get as complex as I wanted to get on the data design.
Ease of use
The extension is intuitive and very easy to use. Everything makes logical sense.
Support
The developer is easily available on chat, and eager to help. I had one question and he responded quickly.
Documentation
The documentation is spot on, but you won't need it for the basics. There is a video. The documentation is easy to get to and well written.
I used this to: I love that the free version has everything necessary to design, create, add, update, delete, and list for a basic custom data system. And the upgrade to the paid pro version was easy and seamless with the existing design. I am using it for a custom client management system.

Functionality
This was exactly what I was searching for! A Joomla 4 compatible CRUD extension which can easily be used to maintain custom data.
Ease of use
Quite intuitive, can be used right away, with some minor obstacles (but can be solved by reading the documentation)
Support
Awesome! Author can be reached by chat, WhatsApp, E-Mail, and on his website, very responsive.
Documentation
Very good and comprehensive documentation, in both the component itself, on website and in github.
I used this to: Custom address tables on our church website, for both editing and generating tables for internal members.

Functionality
Very good joomla component, i was able to display a small report of some custom data easily and quickly on my joomla website !!
Ease of use
This component is very organized , i was able to do built my report quickly without checking documentation too much !!

Support was true Github with an amazing idea and easy for me to report issues !
Documentation
Well documentation of this joomla component covers everything with good clear instructions
I used this to: i use this joomla component to display some reports of my custom data as view in my website, keep up the good work !!

Functionality
from collecting data in forms to presenting data in lists and detail view you have a lot of controle and possibilities with the pro version
Ease of use
Once you understand the idea and concept behind it it is easy. Experimenting with tables and layouts is fun and helpful.
Support
I got some great support when I needed it. Often within one or two days. Some of it was related to Custom Tables move to J4 but ok now.
Documentation
Not all is there but what there is is clear and to the point. The developer is realy working hard to get it al available is my impression.
I used this to: Basic and more advanced CRUD. It will replace many of the things I made with Fabrik that will not see a J4 version in the near future

baked in a lot of useful features, while keeping it simple + intuitive. there is still room for improvement, but his approach is top notch.
Ease of use
easy to use, but yet very flexible. if you need to, you can control every aspect of the layout in the backend using twig templating.
Support
email came back within 48hours after purchase. asked for font-awesome support and he integrated it right away. awesome!
Documentation
it's all in the backend, which is very nice. everything is explained and easy to find.
I used this to: basic and flexible frontend CRUD operations for myself and customers

Really hard to evaluate

Functionality
Can't evaluate from the free version. Not possible to even access the simpliest of its functionality.
Ease of use
It may work but I can't get an adequate representation of what the component can do without purchasing the full version.
Support
Need videos to show its full potential because can't accurately see if it suits my needs
Documentation
It is really hard to evaluate when it is not a full version and you don't provide an adequate demo or decent videos to evalate
I used this to: So far I will have to spend money to evaluate it only to find out that it is probably another useless component to me.

WOW!! Excellent component for customizing input processing and reporting of custom tables even in master-detail relations adding own CSS etc
Ease of use
The basic setup and creation of custom table is straight forward and easy. For some advanced customization, I had to reference the document.

The support is outstanding!! I had some queries and a deadline to meet, and I received prompt and high-quality support. Thank you very much
Documentation
There is plenty of helpful documentation with step by step images to help with custom forms, tables and grid display with edit buttons, etc.
I used this to: Use for capturing data and search and display the results in different ways. The customization abilities exceed my expectations. I wish I had this component long ago. I can apply this custom table component in many different scenarios because you can apply your own CSS layouts.
