Images

JA Image Hotspot module is a free Joomla extension to help you upload any static image then fill in information for a specific area that you want to point out in your image. You can add unlimited markers, each marker can have its own title and description. You can select to always show pointer title and description or only show those information on mouse hover. The module is easily customizable, one can easily change the marker types and upload own image or map and the best part is that this module is responsive and fits well even in mobile and tablets.

Drag and drop markers or define using Offset X and Offset Y
Support 4 content types: Text, Video, Web Link, Social and video.
Select pointer type from pointer list

Functionality

This module makes responsive image mapping very simple. I have searched many sites and tools.

Ease of use

Very user friendly interface. Mapping to html usually easy but getting the responsiveness into joomla not so easy. This tool does it for you

Support

Support is prompt and effective. I get same day focused support every time. Really appreciate that.

Documentation

I used this to: I use this for Image mapping for several interfaces. The application is for training and content sharing and this module works perfectly for this application

Functionality

You have a flat image and you want to make it interactive by adding pointers or other images that when hovered over show a message.

Ease of use

Very easy to use

Support

I have the free version but when I had a problem after an update they not only responded within 24 hours they also provided a solution.

Documentation

Sufficient documentation - its pretty easy to figure out as well.

I used this to: I used this extension to add functionality to a graphic of a map. It works great for that.

Functionality

This module allows you to create a large image with unlimited linkable hotspots. Works without a hitch, saving a TON of time programming.

Ease of use

Install, launch module, setup, all simple and seamless.

I used this to: Creating hero images that include links to content throughout the site.
