Introduction

Slideshow

showplus is an eye-catching slideshow to display a set of images with user-defined transition between them. It is easy to get started with but offers a number of customization options for more advanced users.

showplus is powered by a slideshow script written entirely in plain JavaScript, and uses no Flash or JavaScript libraries such as MooTools or jQuery. Having a showplus slideshow on a page incurs a footprint of about 14 Kb with only a single CSS file and a JavaScript file included in the page header.

Features:
+ responsive design, scales to arbitrary size
+ choose from six transition animation types: fade, zoom, pan, Ken Burns effect, push, wipe
+ attach captions to images with multilingual support using a labels file with fall-back to a default caption
+ link each image to an arbitrary location
+ order images according to filename or last modified time, shuffle images each time the page is shown, or specify custom order
+ quickly navigate between images with a horizontal or vertical navigation bar
+ set most important styles in the administration back-end
+ use it with both left-to-right and right-to-left languages
+ meaningful output even if JavaScript is disabled in the browser

Easy Slideshow Solution

Functionality
Showplus offers good slideshow features, responsive, transitions, captions and more. Great!
Ease of use
Very easy to set up. Create an image folder, set options, and you're ready. Even a novice can use it without much effort.
Support
Support seems good but I didn't need.Shows how user-freindly the module is.
Documentation
I found the documentation to be clear and straightforward. It covered all the basics, and I had no trouble following along.
I used this to: Replaces an outdated slideshow module on my Joomla site. It was perfect for this purpose.

Justify center not functioning

I can not justify the module on center of the page (means whatever i select ... left, center right, ...it is always left sided!!)

Great Slideshow Replacement

Functionality
Installation was very straightforward, admin functions are laid out nicely, with great rollover help.
Ease of use
Very easy to use, just setup an image directory, set the options, set the template position, and goes.
Support
I've not used the support yet, but it appears to be very good when needed.
Documentation
Not extensive, but for a long-time Joomla user, it was enough to follow.
I used this to: A replacement for JSN ImageShow. As Joomlashine closed down, I needed to find something that worked with Joomla 4 for a simple front page slideshow. This is filling the bill.

Showplus has actually most of the functionality and effects you can need. Just missing image folder management and direct upload to it.

not clear enougt.
I used this to: testing and associative joomla project. Having " do not copy past" is what i call minimalistic ... Syntax examples for showplus fade and others not given spent hours to figure out what my mistake was.

LOVE being able to make the module do its own location rather than writing code to float, center, etc.

Love this plug.



I especially like the Ken Burns effect transition. Only thing I'd really like to know is how to slow down the Ken Burns effect, runs a bit fast for me.

If you're looking for a slider that will simply scroll through color photographs automatically, then this might do well. It's free, and it installed without issue. Our application was different however. We were creating slide decks that are like a Powerpoint presentation for a lecture. The two big issues for us are first of all you can NOT use clear Gifs or Pngs. On some sliders if you try to use a clear png it just changes it to a white opaque background. On this one however it turned everything BLACK. Another issue was the lack of nav buttons. On ours we couldn't make it auto scroll as the person needs to read the text at their own speed. There is a Previous and Next hyperlink at the bottom, but due to the layout we wanted the left and right nav buttons on the sides of the slides. There is a set you can get to come up when you hover over the slide, but they blended in with the white background and will only show while hovering.

I like the fact that it uses the Joomla images folder, so it's very easy to change my slideshow whenever I want.



This module installed very easily, setup was a breeze and it looks wonderful. I'm very glad I tried this module first; I don't need to look any further!
