sigplus adds photo and multimedia galleries to a Joomla article with a simple syntax. It takes a matter of minutes to set up but comes with a vast range of options for advanced users.

Despite its versatility, sigplus is completely free. It is a full-fledged product with all features included, there is no need to buy a commercial professional version for extra features or purchase club membership to unlock additional privileges.

Easy to Use Flexible Image Galleries

Functionality
This image gallery extension will quickly and easily present images in a user friendly way. It would be nice to have microdata options.
Ease of use
Very easy to use, present where and how wanted, and style how desired.
I used this to: Image gallery applications on many sites for many years. This a go-to extension for image presentation.

Wide functionality: from gallery creation to pop-up with different engines for content--image, image gallery, maps, inline content etc.
Ease of use
Plugin usage is simple. Various usage described in documentation.
Support
Friendly support -- even in cases where the user has not studied the documentation carefully enough.
Documentation
Very detailed with levels of use from beginner to intermediate, developer and expert. There is Export/Import option for plugin settings also
I used this to: I use this plugin on Joomla! 3 and Joomla! 4 sites for galleries, interactive image maps etc. Migration between Joomla! versions is simple and hassle-free.

Functionality
Build mobile compatible galleries, i've used this plugin a lot for my sites over years. I would like more advanced functionalities for swipe
Ease of use
Quite easy to use, galleries are built with no hassle and in a few minutes
Support
Sadly not provided in the way expected, but i was able to achieve what i needed all by myself

I used this to: Galleries on websites of my clients. Building several websites with Joomla, galleries are often needed

Functionality
Works as predicted Needs time to setup. Great (only) extension for mass display of images structurally. The best. BUT lack of easy support
Ease of use
Takes time to setup After the setup it works very well. Crashed the site on J4. No help Uninstall and reinstall helped. Again hrs to setup
Support
All the links on my site crashed That is all (600+) lost the links to the images Nowhere was I able to get to the developer to get assist.
Documentation
Great. Takes time to work through. Need some coding knowledge. Plugin has easy setup but needs some more than beginner knowledge
I used this to: Displaying 1000s of images in specific galleries on a nature site. Still use it despite it crashing my site.I think in some update to J4/5 something went wrong on my site.

Functionality
It works as described and straight out of the box. Huge thanks to Levente for this extension.
Ease of use
Basics are simple to use, and for any more sophisticated adjustments, the documentation is quite extensive.
Support
I got stuck with a setting, couldn't find it easily (didn't look properly) and contacted the developer. I received a concise reply promptly.
Documentation
Contains pretty much every possible scenario, just need to read it carefully.
I used this to: Displaying simple galleries from local folders on a few websites.

Functionality
Joomla 4. Gallery showed but there was also an error message saying that it couldn't find the directory.
Ease of use
It would be easy to use if it worked as it did in Joomla 3 but see functionality above. I did everything I could to fix it but couldn't.
Support
There is no support. If there was, I would have requested some. Apparently I have to use up more characters in this section.
Documentation
The documentation is old. Again, apparently I have to use more characters in this section.
I used this to: Sidebar gallery photos on a number of pages. This, too, requires me to use more characters or I can't submit the review.

Functionality
Everything is as described. Functional. I did not expect such good work from a free extension but it is really good.
Ease of use
Not very easy. You must know how to use syntax and be careful when you are adding in to the articles.
Support
There is no support person or a forum but the documentation and website is supportive.
Documentation
The documentation is very good and satisfactory. I found everything I was looking for. The demo site is also full of examples.
I used this to: I use this for my website to show different folders as photo gallery.

Functionality
Sigplus has lots of options to cover the largest and smallest galleries that one could conceive.
Ease of use
It works. It is easy to use. Load one's photos into Joomla's image handling media manager, make simple call and it works !
Support
I have had a couple of requests and these have been handled promptly and courteously.
Documentation
It's all there, Us your imagination and your ideas are fulfilled.
I used this to: Galleries on those sites which have lots of photographs - selling choir blouses, and my favorite of a large park packed with history and wildlife.
