WT Quick links
Introduction
The module allows you to quickly create sets of repeatable elements: title + text, responsive photos and/or responsive videos. And also make these elements links to Joomla components, a menu item or a custom link. By creating your own display layouts for this module, you can make a slide show, an image gallery, assemble the main page of the site as in the constructor, create a set of link tags for the desired sections of the site, a list of FAQ and so on.
Supported link types
- Joomla menu item
- Joomla articles category
- Joomla article
- Custom link (text field)
- Link to file
- JoomShopping products category
- Virtuemart products category
- Phoca Cart products category
- Phoca Download category
- Phoca Gallery category
- RadicalMart products category
Module versions before 2.0.0 works both on Joomla 3 and Joomla 4.
Since v.2.0.0 WT Quick links support only Joomla 4.2+
Video
Added the ability to select the type of media content - image or video.
New module layout output
Added a bg-video layout (bootstrap), in which the "wall" of the video is displayed in the full width of the container.
Responsive videos
Added the ability to specify responsive videos. For each range of screen resolutions (specified using CSS media queries), you can specify a separate video file and a poster for it. Javascript implements device screen sizing and then lazy loading of a video file. For mobile devices, the recommended video file size is no more than 1.5-2 MB. For desktop devices - no more than 10MB.
You can take the bg-video layout in the module folder as a basis and create your own. In this case, the container common to all videos should have the data-wt-quick-links-responsive-videos attribute with the module id, and each video has an id attribute of the form id="wt-quick-links-responsive-videos-[module id]-[video number]". For more information, see the bg-video layout. Core must also be connected.Joomla js file (it is connected by default).
The "Link text" field
Now you can use HTML tags from the Joomla whitelist in this field. For example, this may be convenient if you need to transfer a long phrase using br HTML tag
Conditions for excluding the display of elements
Added conditions for excluding the display of individual list items. For example, you have a list of some JoomShopping categories in your module. The module is published on all product catalog pages, but it would be strange to see a link to the "Cups" category while inside the "cups" category. Using the module settings, you can hide certain items from the list on the desired pages.
Items can be hidden for certain menu items, JoomShopping categories, Joomla content categories, and materials in these categories.
