Introduction

Modals - make links open in modal popups.

Modals is a powerful plugin that allows you to easily create cool modal popups on your site.

Modal popup windows are fancy popups also known as Lightboxes.

You can make modals / lightboxes for whatever you want: text, articles, other internal pages, external pages, images, videos, and even full-blown Modal Image Galleries & Slideshows with thumbnail creation.

Modals is packed with options to control the modal popups.

There are several ways Modals can covert links:
    ★ Via the special Modal tags {modal ...}...{/modal}
    ★ By class names (all links with defined class names)
    ★ All external links
    ★ By target="_blank" (all links with a target. Internal and/or external)
    ★ By filetypes (all links to given filetypes)
    ★ By url matches (also supports regular expressions)

The Modal tags are simple:

Functionality
It allows you to open article, page of your site or someone else’s site in a modal window, also makes it possible to open images.
Ease of use
The plugin is quite a request to use. It took me about 10-15 minutes to figure out the basic settings.
Documentation
Good documentation with lots of examples and explanations. The text is well structured.
I used this to: to insert pop-ups with images and pages of my site. I used the insertion of links to windows using special tags, since I needed to override some settings for different windows.

As they say, the free version has just nearly everything a basic Joomla blog needs to succeed. I liked it as it is

Functionality
Although quite limited vs. the Pro version, free Modals does the job. Note there's no zoom functionality as you'd get with a new window.
Ease of use
Need alternate to double quotes around URL. Otherwise, quite easy.
Documentation
Extremely good for ALL Regular Labs extensions.
I used this to: My HOA site, which is essentially unfunded.

Almost easy to use. But with Peter support it gets easier.

I some times think Peter from Regular Labs does not sleep. We are in a different time zones. His support is second to none.
