Migration Scanner is a Joomla administrator component for Joomla 4.4, 5, and 6. It inventories enabled non-core extensions, token-scans PHP for legacy APIs, and checks manifests for a namespace. Findings include compatibility-plugin layers so you know what still needs plg_behaviour_compat6 and what will not run on Joomla 6 at all.

It is read-only. It does not execute extension PHP and it does not run extension SQL.

This is just the beginning. We will keep adding features so the Joomla community can migrate with more confidence. Suggestions are welcome: tell us what would help your sites.

Install in minutes

1. Download and unzip MigrationScanner_UNZIP.zip
2. System > Install > Extensions > upload the pkg_jxmscanner_*.zip inside
3. Open Components > Migration Scanner
4. Click Scan site on a staging copy
5. Open an extension row for files, replacements, and a report
