Assign the next articles yourself. If that list is empty, fill from shared tags, then the same category.

Easy Related Articles is a content plugin and site module for Joomla 4, 5, and 6. Editors search, add, and drag related articles on the article screen. Visitors see that order. A short assigned list is not padded with automatic articles. When nothing eligible is assigned, shared tags come first, then newer articles in the same category.
