UniLogin 1.2 is an authentication plugin for Joomla 4, Joomla 5, and Joomla 6. It maps an email to the account username, verifies the password with Joomla’s native hashing, and adds rate limiting, attempt logging, domain/group rules, custom messages, and optional post-login redirects.

Quick start

1. Install plg_authentication_unilogin_1.2.zip
2. System → Manage → Plugins → Authentication - UniLogin → Enable
3. Keep Authentication - Joomla enabled
4. Leave Username Fallback on for email-or-username
5. Optionally set the label to “Email or Username”
6. Save and clear cache
